Music at Moreland
Moreland Choir
Experience the joy of shared faith and the uplifting of our religious community through choral art. If you sing and have choir experience, you are invited to join us, even if your experience is limited.
Our Choir sings anthems at Sunday morning services in the Fall through the Spring, and at special moments throughout the church year.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, 7-8:30 pm, in the choir room on the second floor (via the east side door). Anyone who likes to sing choral music can sing with our choir, regardless of membership at Moreland Presbyterian Church.

Light refreshments will be provided, so you can enjoy a cup of tea and listen to the charming music of Jane Austen’s era in a cozy space surrounded by books.
The program includes folk song arrangements, Regency-era popular songs, and excerpts from the opera and theater music of the era. The composers include famous names like Mozart and Beethoven, as well as Friedrich von Flotow, Stephen Storace (a forerunner of Gilbert and Sullivan in English operetta), and 18th century celebrities like Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. Music historian Emma Cowell will share stories about music in Jane Austen’s time, as she and Jocelyn Claire Thomas perform vocal duets and solos, as well as piano pieces and music for flute.
